What to do?

So, I'm at work at our main source of research is temporarily out of order. What do you do? You catch up on your blogging.....

I am now the proud new owner of a gasoline powered edger. Bad for the environment, but good for me. Of course it will cut down on the amount of time that I'm using the weed eater, thereby cutting down on my upper body work out. But the weed eater is one of those "fuel mixture" ones, that smells funny and that can't possibly be any better for the environment than the regular gasoline edger, right? I say that I am the owner because, although he used it this weekend due to the fact that it is a power tool and that is any man's god given right to use power tools, if I can crank it, I will be the one to use it on a much more regular basis. I have been longing for one of these contraptions for about 8 years. I'm definitely not a girly girl. I enjoy doing manual labor. Rebuilding, fixing and yard work. I would much rather be doing these things than laundry or house work. Which by the way, my house is immaculate. Swept, mopped, vaccuumed, all laundry except what was worn yesterday and the yard work is DONE! Yeah, quite a full weekend, but I feel so good about all my accomplishments I can't stand it. Of course, I do still need to dust and organize the closet. I donated all of the old clothes that I don't wear anymore a few weeks ago, but I still need to put the clothes in skirt/pants/tops order and get rid of a bunch more stuff that I don't use. This time of year is great for doing these types of things. It really gives you a sense of accomplishment.

Before I left the house this morning, I put a roast in the crockpot and made all the beds in the house. All I have to do when I get home is make mashed potatoes to go with the roast and carrots and do another load of laundry. I feel so very free. Takes a load off of me, just to have my house clean.

YEAH ME!!!!
